This week, we will diverge from our normal gravel ride so that we can take in the Wayne County's annual Bike The Lights event on Hines Drive. We will meet at the Nankin Lake parking area and roll promptly at 6:15pm. Our route will take us East on the car-free Hines Drive for 1.4 miles to the registration area so that anyone who registered can pick up their shirt. From there, we will continue East through the displays until we reach the turnaround at Warrendale. There are open restrooms there for anyone who needs them. Before heading back, we'll pause for a photo op at the Warrendale light tree. Total trip is just over 13 miles and will be at a relaxed pace. No rider will be left behind. We would expect an average pace of somewhere between 10 and 13mph. This is all paved, so any equipment will do. Make sure to bring lights and decorate your bike if you're so inclined.
As usual, non-members are welcome to join us, but are required to sign our liability waiver. This can be done ahead of time by selecting Bike The Lights online or signing the paper document before the ride.
