Cyclocross
DCC club members participate in cyclocross (CX) racing during the fall. Cyclocross is a type of off-road bike racing over surfaces like grass, gravel, and mud. Courses often include obstacles or steep climbs that require dismounting and shouldering the bike. The club hosts weekly cyclocross practices at Willow Metropark during the fall, and members participate in the many races available throughout Michigan and surrounding areas. Contact Mike.

Cross Country Skiing (XC)
Members who like to play in the snow will want to join our cross-country (XC) ski group. Outings range from local Metroparks to Huron Meadows and Kensington. A trip to the Grayling area during President’s Weekend is not out of the question. This is an excellent cross training activity to keep you fit and out-of-doors during the road cycling off-season. ​Kayaking
In 2015, a new activity was added to the lineup. Kayak enthusiasts meet weekly to explore local rivers, canals and lakes. Our moving water destinations take us to the Detroit River, the Huron River (from Ann Arbor to Lake Erie), the River Raisin, and the Maumee. Still water adventures lead to Belleville Lake, Ford Lake, Kent Lake, and Sterling State Park. Our season extends into the fall. Contact Dennis.
