Tuesday is CX practice night! We'll be at Chestnut (http://tinyurl.com/WillowChestnut) again this week despite the waning sunlight. If you want to get in a whole hour, you'll definitely need lights. We did the last lap in the dark last week! 6:00 start. New comers are always welcome! See our website for more information.
CX Practice Tonight! It's definitely get dark earlier and earlier. Sunset is at 6:30 but we'll still have light until 7. Even so, you may want to bring lights if you want to keep practicing into the darkness :) We will be at Chestnut again this week (http://tinyurl.com/WillowChestnut) with a 6:00 start. New comers are always welcome! See our website for more information.
CX Practice Tonight! We're getting some incredibly warm weather for this time of year, so there's no excuse not to come out. We may get a little rain, but it will probably feel nice considering it's so warm. We will be at Chestnut again this week (http://tinyurl.com/WillowChestnut) with a 6:00 start. New comers are always welcome!
For CX practice this week, we're heading back to the Chestnut area (http://tinyurl.com/WillowChestnut) which is where we held the first couple of practices this season. I've been told there are no cross country events this week, so we should be clear. I found a couple new course features at Chestnut that I'd like to try out this week. We will start laps at 6:00 again, so come earlier than that if you want to do any skills or drills practice. I'll try to do a little more marking this week since its potentially a new route; but still planning on a minimalist set-up so I don't have to break it down in the dark.
We will be at Washago Pond again this week (on the north end of Willow MetroPark). Map is here: http://tinyurl.com/WashagoPond
We’re running low on light, but the season has barely started, so we’ll keep going until the light is all gone. But because we’re getting low on light, we’re going to start riding right at 6:00 to make sure we can get an hour in before sunset. If you want to do any barrier practice, feel free to show up at 5:30 and you can use the barriers while I flag the course. I’ll also be doing a reduced amount of course marking to reduce set-up/break-down time. For those who have been coming regularly, you probably know the course anyway. However, I don’t want to discourage any potential first timers: I’ll still do a course run through, and it’s usually pretty easy just to play follow-the-leader after that. |
